Yercaud is a hill station down south in the state of Tamil Nadu, India and is a nice getaway region during summer or actually all around the year for its pleasant weather and just to be amidst the nature. While the town itself is beautiful, it is necessary that the place of stay is good as well to have that perfect travel experience. Our stay during a recent visit was at the Chill Breeze Resort !

Chill Breeze Resorts

It’s a budget resort with all the basic amenities, maintained well with cleanliness and hygiene well taken care off. It’s very near to the Yercaud lake and the bus stand, not the best of views as its not on high ground but the cottages are lined up on a slope.

Single, double and three bed room cottages were available, we were a group of 7 and so opted for the three bed room cottage which by the way , they have only one and is right at the entrance.

Spacious cottage with all three rooms having attached bathroom and television. Living room had a dining table, television and a couch as well. The resort does not have AC and in hill stations, one doesn’t really need it – fans are rarely used as well. Basic amenities like soaps, towels, drinking water were provided.

Room service is available and the restaurant was right opposite to our cottage as well which was an added advantage. Good service, they were very accommodating to our requests like hot water , late service for lunch etc. Good variety on the menu and tasty food too ! Chicken 65 was a winner.

There is a children’s play area too which was nice for kids to have fun.

Mornings were cold and foggy which meant there was a huge demand for tea and it took a while for us to get one. While the wait was on, it was perfect opportunity to take a walk and it was awesome !

Overall a comfortable stay and a pleasant experience !
