Santa’s Feast at Flechazo !
Flechazo – this brand has established itself well in the “Mediterrasian” world! A concept bringing the best of Mediterranean and Asian cuisine and being good at it. Having dined in a few times at the Marathahalli outlet in Bangalore, it was time to head to the Whitefield one and experience the Santa’s Feast – a specially curated Fest for the Holiday season ! The Fest is on for a limited period only and ending on Jan 5th but if you are reading this and heading to the restaurant after the 5th, you would still get to experience most of the food that I would be mentioning as we go along but would miss out on the specials like the Turkey, Emu dishes and desserts like the pumpkin pie – you might even get lucky as they keep introducing new dishes with new fests in play and get to try more than what I did on this particular day !
Decor was in-line with the festive season with Christmas fever being portrayed all over. Ambiance is very soothing and tables arranged well with good space to walk around which is an important factor to consider in a buffet place !
Perfect utilization of space with different stations spread across, enter the restaurant and one will be welcomed with the conveyor belt doing its rounds with food shots ! From Gol Gappa’s to Sushi’s and Dumpling’s – pick per your liking here !
There are also some refreshing mocktails that are on offer here, what we tried was the Tahitian Paradise which was a blend of coconut cream, milk, orange juice, pineapple juice and mint and was pretty happy with it
Live stations for specials like Turkey,Emu in addition to the stations for Pizza, Pasta and Pita kept the feast going. Good initiative to allow folks to make their own pizza’s bringing out the inner chef as one may call it, but hey you will have to eat it if you cook , so better make a good one !
Appetizers are served on the table while one can take a walk and choose your mains from the variety of dishes available. Here is the menu as part of the fest
And a sneak peek into the happy moments of feasting here –
My top picks from the appetizers include the Dancing Emu, Korean Prawns, Till Dahi ke kebab, Spicy pineapple, Grilled Fish, the Quail from the specials and the Harissa Paneer Tikka !
From the mains, my favorites includes Country Chicken Biryani, Chicken Stroganoff, Paneer Kaleji and Crab curry ! Wish I had enough appetite to try out everything but there were so many items !
What’s impressive was there was no pulling back on the Desserts and there were loads of options here too as listed in the menu and there was actually more than what was listed ! If I may pick a few favorites again – Chocolate Lolypop, Tandai Tiramisu, Jamuns, Ice Kachang, Mango & Gulab Jamun Ice-cream and the Paan Ice-cream.
Call it the Santa’s Feast or a Royal Feast – it’s an experience being here ! Service is impeccable. From getting food quickly on the table to celebrating birthdays/special days with dance and cake to handing over balloons to kids meant everyone was happy and more than satisfied ! The staff assigned to our table was on top of everything, I am really bad at remembering names but this gentleman had to be clicked – I was the one who was eating and was tired but he was alive and kicking !
The restaurant is inside a building complex and there is valet parking available too. This was my first visit here but surely the first of many more to come ! Impressive !
